Buddies 2 Go: Companionship for Brighter Days

Humans are social creatures who depend on connection. Buddies 2 Go is a friendly companionship service based in West Sussex, helping you stay active, independent and connected – at home and out and about – so you don’t have to do life’s everyday moments alone.

What We Do

Buddies 2 Go offers one‑to‑one and small‑group companionship for everyday activities across Littlehampton, Rustington, East Preston and Angmering. Whether it is an appointment, a walk in the park or a chat over a cuppa, a friendly buddy is there by your side – on time, unhurried and focused on you.

Our aim is to make your day brighter and help prevent loneliness by encouraging regular engagement with others.

Our Story & Why It Matters

After years of experience working as a home helper and as a driver/carer on a school bus, and after recently graduating with a BSc in Psychology, I founded Buddies 2 Go to recognise the importance of socialising for mental health in our local communities. People in Littlehampton, Rustington, East Preston and Angmering can benefit from something as simple as a coffee morning and chat, or a gentle outing just to see life happening around them.

I have observed how quickly confidence can decline after a spell at home due to illness or an accident, and how isolation, broken routines and the effects of the COVID pandemic are still apparent today. Buddies 2 Go is designed to rebuild confidence and connection, one outing at a time.

How We Support You

Accompanied appointments

From doctors, hospitals and opticians to hair salons and other local services, so you never have to attend alone.

Support at home

We offer a reassuring presence when tradespeople or visitors are at your property so you dont have to deal with things alone.

Outings & social time

Shopping trips, cafés, walks in the park or along the promenade, visits to the theatre, bingo and more – wherever you want to go.

Daily food preperation

We can help with everyday meals or batch-cooking sessions, where we assist you or prepare home‑cooked dishes of your choice.

Bookable weekly activities

We provide regular group activities to build friendships, confidence and routine.

How Our Buddy Service Works

You can book a Buddy to join you for a weekly activity, accompany you on a shopping trip or hospital appointment, or attend a show together in and around Littlehampton, Rustington, East Preston and Angmering. We also offer Buddy duo and trio hours, so friends or partners can go out together with a Buddy and enjoy shared experiences. A Buddy will pick you up from your home, accompany you on your outing, and bring you safely back again, so you never have to do it alone.
